New Year’s Eve Sydney Harbour Cruise Details
This perfectly-timed cruise is designed specifically for families. The 9 pm fireworks allow the young ones, who might nod off a little earlier, the chance to take part in the New Year’s Eve celebrations and see the majestic display.
Our professional masters are well equipped to ensure that our customers experience the event in a safe environment. Yellow Water Taxis depart and return to King Street Wharf located in Darling Harbour. The cruise includes a leisurely tour of Sydney Harbour before settling down for the fireworks display.
Yellow Water Taxis is a responsible operator and while we do permit BYO drinks and nibbles* on our cruises, drunk or intoxicated guests will be refused boarding on the night without any compensation. We value the safety and comfort of our customers as our absolute number one priority.
*Conditions apply. Rapid or excessive consumption of alcohol is not allowed on our taxis.

Explorer is our premium 28-seater vessel and is the only multi-level vessel in our fleet.
Explorer boasts two levels, an upper open-roof seating area and a lower covered seating area, for the best views of the spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration. This vessel includes on-board toilets, a cool box to store drinks on the night (please note space is limited) as well as front and back viewing platforms.
Please note – Top level seating is reserved for guests purchasing the Priority Seating pass on Explorer.
Wallaru & Barangaroo are our 16-seater Water Limos. With roll-up clears along both sides of the vessel, you can sit back, relax and enjoy front row views of the celebrations.
Wallaru & Barangaroo are equipped with on-board toilet facilities for your convenience.
Walamai is our 28-seater Water Limo. With plenty of leg room, roll-up clears along the side of the vessel and a front viewing platform, travel in comfort and style while you take in all that New Year’s Eve on Sydney Harbour has to offer!
Walamai has no on-board toilet facilities.
Totally Wild is a purpose built whale watching vessel with comfortable high-back seats and an open plan design. While there are no whales on this cruise, guests can enjoy 360 degree views of the New Year’s Eve celebrations!
Totally wild has on-board toilet facilities however, please note this a marine bathroom and is limited in space. Passengers with low mobility may find these facilities challenging.
Yellow Water Taxi
Jump on-board one of our iconic Yellow Water Taxis! This is our classic 16-seater vessel, with comfortable cushion seating and roll-up clears along the sides of the vessel this boat is perfect for the adventurous type!
Our Yellow Water Taxis have no on-board toilet facilities.
